Ugandan Celebration!!

When we moved to the DFW area we were certain that God had Kenzi in mind.  You see there are numerous other families who have also adopted from Uganda.  Specifically there are 6 other families in the area who have adopted from out agency.  Even more crazy is the fact that we were in country and even flew home on the same flight as another family who adopted through the same agency and from the same babies home.  Now our sweet kiddos get to grow up together...across the globe from where they were born.  You can't tell me that God is not sovereign!

This week our agency teamed up with another agency and brought in a videographer to film a documentary on all the precious kiddos who have come home.  The idea is to share with the Ugandan people our great love for our children and the way that they are truly a part of our families.

Last night 5 other families gathered at our house to celebrate our sweet kiddos and to welcome our Ugandan guests.  Miriam, who manages the babies home and Grace, who works for our attorney in Uganda, as well as Kenneth the COO of Africa Renewal Ministries are all visiting America for a first hand look at the lives of these kiddos now that they are in their forever families.

All together we had 17 adults and 15 kiddos!!  Talk about a full house!  And can I just add that I love that 8 of those kiddos are from Uganda!

We decided to give our guests a true Texas welcome with some Tex-Mex enchiladas and all the fixings!

Miriam and Grace seem to be enjoying their first visit to America...and even though they weren't sure at first they liked the food!

Kenzi and Jude...we need to work on Kenzi's hosting skills, she wasn't excited about sharing her toys!

Sweet Asher!

After dinner the kiddos had a blast on the slide and in the pool!

I was so proud of Kaden and the way he helped the little ones!
I am not sure Mark left the slide the entire night!  He had so much fun!

Zane...such a cutie!  Asher was our door guard for the night...he loved opening and closing the door for everyone!

Chillin' in the baby pool!

Ally  was determined to make it up the slide!

I can't believe how much these three cuties have grown since that long flight home together! They are all busy, busy...this was the best shot I could get!

Such a fun night!  I am so thankful for these sweet families and the opportunity we have to gather together and celebrate the precious little ones that God added to our families!
